Job summary

Keene State College seeks a hands-on technician to join the Redfern Technical Team, supporting planning, implementation, and on-site operations for live events at the Redfern Arts Center. The role involves collaboration with artists and staff to ensure technical excellence across lighting, sound, and video during rehearsals, performances, and installations.

Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining gear, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Experience in Theatre, Entertainment Technology, Lighting Design, or a related field.
Able to troubleshoot technical systems and manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
Able to work independently or with a team in dynamic production environments; comfortable heights and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Sets up, maintains and operates sound, lighting, stage and other technical equipment and systems.
Ensures smooth operation of the technical aspects of all productions.
Monitors the condition of equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
Maintains current knowledge of equipment and industry tech.
Stays updated on new tech for lighting, video, and audio engineering.
Performs additional duties as assigned by Redfern Technical Director.
