Job summary

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to grow within a retail store. You will generate retail sales by leveraging your passion for technology and delivering outstanding customer service, while learning to uncover customers' needs with the right questions.

This role includes ongoing training and opportunities to enhance merchandising and inventory skills, with potential exposure to community events to grow the customer base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, especially during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using passion for technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers' needs by asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations for a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by using strong communication to fulfill customer needs with simple tech solutions.
• Continuously develop through ongoing training and up-skilling in merchandising and inventory.
• Potential to grow customer base by placing outbound calls and text messages to Verizon customers.
• Engage with the community outside the store at Verizon-sponsored events.
