Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support librarians, provide circulation services, and assist students with resources.

You will promote library projects, manage online materials, and help develop virtual reference services and outreach to the campus.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1+ year library or related experience; training on Alma/Primo and BANNER is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year related work experience.
• Experience in an academic library preferred.
• 2+ years related work experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Alma/Primo and BANNER software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic reference and research services to students.
• Processes orders for books, journals, AV materials and other items.
• Assists in promoting library publicity projects.
• Helps with library orientation sessions for students.
• Performs clerical duties and production functions.
• Assists patrons with computers and software applications.
• Processes overdue notices and SIS holds; assists with interlibrary loans.
