Position: Tech - Radiology/Imaging
Position Summary

The Tech - Radiology/Imaging operates ionizing radiation equipment under Texas Medical Board licensure. Responsibilities include ensuring proper image processing, preparing exam rooms, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety for patients and staff. The technologist maintains a clean environment, assists radiologists and providers, and works across all age groups, including pediatric, geriatric, trauma, and surgical patients, applying principles of continuous quality improvement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform various technical procedures.
  2. Assist radiologists and staff physicians as needed.
  3. Demonstrate appropriate radiographic skills.
  4. Ensure accurate and safe patient care.
  5. Use immobilization devices, maintain HIPAA compliance, and perform contrast injections if required.
  6. Supervise, delegate, and evaluate performance of students, demonstrating leadership skills.
  7. Exhibit good communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  8. Serve as a professional role model.
  9. Create a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  10. Assess patient safety risks and implement precautions.
  11. Comply with standards including radiation safety (ALARA), patient safety, and infection control.

Qualifications
