Job summary

Siemens invites active military personnel to join a SkillBridge internship in Houston, collaborating with Vets2PM. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security projects in commercial settings.

The program emphasizes learning, with continued employment potential after successful completion. Participants will be paid by the US Military; Siemens does not directly pay during the internship.

Qualifications

• Active military personnel eligible for SkillBridge participation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel within local area as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).
• Familiarity with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project contracts, specs, and drawings to establish intent.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate team needs, and identify time-sensitive installations.
• Manage supply requisitions and oversee materials procurement.
• Review plans, participate in cost reviews, and assist in subcontractor contracting.
• Conduct orientation for technicians, provide project documentation, and track resources.
• Document events impacting schedule, scope, and efficiency.
• Pursue change-order opportunities and coordinate billing.
• Schedule commissioning resources and provide documentation.
• Expedite mark-ups for as-built development.
• Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
