Job summary

Omni Instrument seeks a technically fluent Technical Program Manager in San Francisco, on-site, to own complex engineering programs from customer requirements through production scale-up. You will work across mechanical, electrical, firmware, computer vision, ML, software, and manufacturing teams, translating needs into structured plans while solving problems hands-on.

The role grows toward Head of Operations with broader control of manufacturing, supply chain and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex technical programs involving multiple engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into executable plans and requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive updates.

Responsibilities

• Own programs from customer requirements through development, validation, pilot deployment and production.
• Build and maintain schedules, priorities, requirements, dependencies, budgets and risk registers.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, computer vision, ML, software, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements, acceptance criteria and test plans.
• Lead customer design reviews, factory pilots and production deployments.
• Drive technical decisions, document tradeoffs, and resolve blockers quickly.
• Establish ownership, rhythms and accountability across concurrent programs.
• Coordinate prototype builds, sourcing, supplier timelines and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify risks early and communicate results through concise reports.
