Job summary

Chain IQ in Jersey City is seeking a motivated Procurement Consultant to join a client-facing sourcing team focused on technology services. This early-career role develops expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract reviews, and stakeholder management within a fast-paced consulting environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of procurement experience and a foundation in sourcing processes, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, vendor management, consulting, commercial operations, contracts administration, or related function.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing projects from initiation through contract execution.
• Assist in RFx activities including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations.
• Review proposals and contracts, identifying key risks.
• Prepare sourcing recommendations and present to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with category experts to develop sourcing strategies.
• Engage suppliers on terms, pricing and service requirements.
• Track initiatives, savings opportunities, and outcomes.
• Maintain procurement documentation and contract files.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure timely communication.
