Job Description: Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians with IV certification provide IV sterile compounding in accordance with department guidelines and practices and pursuant to a licensed pharmacist’s directions/guidelines. They will be responsible for maintaining sterile compounding regulatory requirements for the pharmacy department as assigned. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience as Pharmacy Tech required.
  • Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
  • License/Certification: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification
