Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time unarmed Security Guard in Burbank, CA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests while reporting incidents and maintaining logs.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of security experience, basic proficiency with computers or tablets, and a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
