Job summary

Nabors Industries seeks a Technical Manager – Performance Products to lead developers and engineers turning roadmaps into technical solutions. You will oversee technical planning, architecture, development, release readiness, and complex issue resolution while building team capability and ensuring products remain reliable, secure, and supportable.

In this role, you’ll shape technical solutions, grow engineering talent, and bring new Performance Products from concept into operational use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in software, controls, automation, digital products, systems engineering, product development, or sustaining engineering in an industrial or technology environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical employees, project teams, or cross-functional engineering delivery with accountability for priorities and results.
• Demonstrated experience translating product requirements into technical plans and managing concurrent new-product and sustaining work.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, architecture and design review, DevOps or ticket-based work management, testing, release readiness, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the translation of product requirements into technical approaches, work breakdowns, estimates, sequencing, staffing plans, and delivery milestones.
• Direct technical execution from design through build, integration, verification, release readiness, and transition to operational support.
• Own sustaining work portfolio, including defects, reliability issues, obsolescence, compatibility changes, technical debt, and field-driven enhancements.
• Coordinate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, Operations, and other engineering groups to confirm requirements are met and releases are supportable.
• Review DevOps tickets and engineering backlogs for quality, priority, ownership, risks, and alignment with priorities.
• Establish knowledge-transfer, support-readiness, maintenance, and end-of-life practices for long-term reliability.
