Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technical direction and refine roadmaps based on technical strategy and constraints
- Serve as escalation point for complex technical challenges and propose architectural changes
- Foster engineering excellence by developing proven systems and advocating for best practices
- Mentor and develop talent within immediate and extended teams
- Enable cross-functional collaboration to achieve broad business goals
Qualifications
- Typically requires 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role
- Proven ability to write production-ready code that is easily testable and accounts for edge cases
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex technical and organizational problems clearly
- Experience owning projects from concept to production, including proposal and execution
- Effective communication skills with the ability to achieve consensus and provide status updates

- Knowledge across all specialties practiced within the department or sub-department
- Self-motivated and self-managing with excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work environment
