Job summary

ByteDance in San Jose is seeking a Tech Lead - Machine Learning Platform Engineer to design and build the core functions of our ML platform, spanning data processing, feature engineering, model training and deployment.

You will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to ensure platform stability, optimize performance, and evaluate new technologies for future enhancements. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in software engineering with Python and Golang are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with Python and Golang.
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing and large-scale data processing (Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core ML platform functions.
• Build scalable data processing and computing pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to design tools and provide support.
• Work with system administrators and software engineers to ensure platform integration.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose platform improvements.
