Agility Partners is seeking qualified applicants for a Tech Lead position at a Fortune 15 Healthcare company in their Innovations Lab. As a leader and creator, you will develop products that positively impact lives. We are looking for a strong GCP/Java Lead to guide teams on complex features using Terraform, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Kubernetes.

  • Responsible for technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation, and support of application and information frameworks used by Commercial Technology products.
  • Anticipate, plan, and deliver IT solutions and strategies that enable business value.
  • Monitor and manage proactive maintenance of application platform environments.
  • Lead and participate in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure technology and functional processes comply with architectural and security standards.
  • Lead the team in large product enhancements and initiatives.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
  • Lead the team in system diagramming and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with other technical teams and vendors.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
  • 70% partnering with architecture, business partners, strategy, coaching, and mentoring; 30% coding.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would bring the following:

  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience with GCP, Terraform, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Kubernetes.
  • 4+ years of Java experience.
  • Self-starter with a passion for solving problems through technology.
  • Hands-on experience across the entire technology stack.
  • Enjoys mentoring others and working in both business and code.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between Architecture and Engineering, providing thought leadership.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices/tools, including TDD and paired programming.
  • Prior experience leading a team.
