Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• Experience architecting, deploying, or managing large-scale cloud infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Experience managing incident response, mitigating failures, and configuring monitoring or alert systems for production environments.
• Experience building automation, internal tooling, or AI-driven solutions to replace manual operational work.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap to optimize Trusted Partner Cloud (TPC) operations, systematically reducing cognitive load, toil, and operational risks for both Google engineering teams and external partner operators.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that minimize correlated failures across isolated sovereign universes, ensuring that operational load scales sublinear as new regions are launched.
• Lead the technical convergence and integration of turn-up graphs to streamline new region and service deployments, providing senior technical oversight for critical production and staging environments.
• Lead the design and adoption of AI/ML solutions—including in-universe agentic tooling and RAG-driven diagnostics—to shift operations from manual intervention to policy-supervised automation.
• Partner with VPs, engineering leads, and partner operator teams to establish clear roles, align on incident response protocols, and drive the adoption of sustainable operational models across complex organizational structures.
