Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and build high performing teams within your organization, including mentoring junior team members and providing technical support for engineers on the team.
• Regularly communicate with business teams and contribute to technical decisions on projects among the product.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on TikTok.
• Build an intuitive and reliable shopping flow experience, including browsing product details, check-out, shopping, return, refund, etc.
• Develop excellent shopping experiences in TikTok live-streaming and short videos, and create tools for live streamers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 5 years of work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Good understanding of business, technical abstraction, and system module design.
• Proven data analysis skills, able to identify product opportunities from technical metrics analysis.
• Strong team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with e-commerce or cross-timezone collaboration.

Job Information

Compensation (Annual): $224,000 - $410,000, depending on qualifications and location. Additional bonuses, stock units, and benefits are included.
