TikTok is seeking a senior researcher for the Intelligent Creation Team, driving AI, vision, audio-video creation technologies and interfacing with product teams to bring cutting-edge capabilities to market.

You will tackle multimodal understanding, large-scale training, and language-model applications to intelligent editing, with opportunities to ship technologies to products and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in computer science, mathematics, or engineering with 5+ years of research and practical experience in computer vision.
• Experience in multimodal understanding (video highlight detection/slicing, audio/music understanding).
• Experience in vision and language (image/video captioning, retrieval, VQA).
• Experience with language models and applications to downstream tasks like intelligent editing.
• Experience in large-scale training and RLHF.
• Ability to implement and optimize performance-critical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge R&D in CV/ML, focusing on multimodal understanding and large-scale training.
• Transfer advanced technologies to TikTok products.
• Explore new AI-centric products at TikTok with core technology leadership.
