Job summary

Qualifications

Overview

LMI is seeking a Technical Integrator to serve as a Liaison Officer based in the National Capital Region (NCR) to represent a Department of War mission partner across multiple Department of War organizations, operational task forces, and mission partners. The Tech Integrator will serve as the organization's primary NCR interface, synchronizing requirements, priorities, decisions, and actions across senior leaders, operational elements, technical teams, program offices, and industry partners.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Department of War mission partner's principal day-to-day liaison to multiple Department of War organizations, operational task forces, technical teams, program offices, and external mission partners across the National Capital Region.
  • Maintain current awareness of command priorities, operational requirements, technical initiatives, schedules, decisions, and emerging issues.
  • Represent organizational equities during meetings, working groups, planning sessions, technical reviews, demonstrations, and battle-rhythm events conducted by supported Department of War entities and task forces.
  • Facilitate timely communication, coordination, and information exchange across operational, technical, acquisition, logistics, and staff stakeholders.
  • Translate operational needs and command priorities into clear actions, requirements, and coordination tasks for supporting teams.
  • Capture decisions, action items, responsible organizations, dependencies, and suspenses; track assigned actions through completion.
  • Prepare briefings, read-ahead materials, executive summaries, meeting notes, reports, schedules, trackers, and other staff products.
  • Coordinate site visits, customer engagements, technical demonstrations, experimentation events, exercises, and capability assessments.
  • Identify coordination gaps, conflicting priorities, resource constraints, and execution risks; elevate issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Support requirements validation, capability integration, user feedback, and transition planning for technical solutions supporting Department of War organizations and operational task forces.
  • Develop and sustain professional relationships across Department of War headquarters, operational task forces, supporting agencies, program offices, interagency partners, and industry.
  • Provide recurring status updates and decision-quality information to organizational leadership.
  • Perform duties on-site in the National Capital Region and travel up to 40 percent in support of mission requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting military operations, special operations, headquarters staff functions, capability development, program integration, or national security organizations.
  • Prior U.S. Special Operations Forces experience.
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a liaison, operations, plans, requirements, program integration, or staff coordination role.
  • Experience coordinating activities across senior military leaders, government civilians, technical personnel, program offices, operational units, and industry partners.
  • Ability to understand operational requirements and communicate them clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing executive-level briefings, read-ahead materials, reports, trackers, meeting minutes, and decision-support products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, professional judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate independently with limited direction in a dynamic environment.
  • Must reside in the National Capital Region and be willing and able to travel up to 40 percent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in national security, military studies, business administration, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Prior service in U.S. Army Special Operations.
  • Experience supporting robotics and autonomous systems (RAS), including capability development, integration, experimentation, or operational use.
  • Experience with Department of Defense acquisition, rapid prototyping, experimentation, operational assessment, or technology transition.
  • Established working relationships across the National Capital Region's Department of War, special operations, acquisition, and interagency communities.

Target salary range: $135,000 - $220,000
