LAC-Federal is seeking a Technical Information Specialist to support a major Federal Agency in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time role involves assisting with library operations, including managing collections and providing technical support.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Library Science, customer service experience, and proficiency in library systems. This role will contribute to enhancing library service and operations for Federal staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA‑accredited university required.
• Experience in customer service is necessary.
• Proficiency in OCLC, EndNote, and Integrated Library Systems.

Responsibilities

• Edit and delete metadata records.
• Process physical items for inclusion in the collection.
• Shelve and maintain physical items according to collection and shelf-list order.
• Provide interlibrary borrowing and lending services.
• Assist library patrons with circulation of materials and user registration.
• Provide technical support to Federal staff.
