Job summary

LAC-Federal is seeking an engaging and service-oriented Instructional and Public Services Librarian in Silver Spring, Maryland. This role supports a federal scientific library by delivering instructional services, outreach, and user engagement activities within a scientific environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in advanced reference services, scientific information resources, and strong analytical skills. Key responsibilities include conducting complex literature reviews, supporting researchers, and developing instructional materials.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of equivalent full-time experience as a professional librarian.
• Experience providing advanced reference and research services in scientific or technical library environments.
• Experience conducting complex literature searches and information analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced reference and research services.
• Perform complex literature reviews and information retrieval.
• Develop research deliverables including literature reviews and citation analyses.
