CO00 Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to manage strategic projects across Facilities at the Liberty Campus. You will mentor junior engineers, communicate within a matrix organization, and collaborate with leadership to enhance team competency.
This full-time position involves working night shifts and requires 3–5 years of experience in a related field, along with EPA608 certification. A commitment to continuous education in the HVAC field is preferred.
Drive results by partnering with leadership on Environment of Care initiatives and strategic plans and projects within CCHMC Facilities. Manage ambiguity and provide clarity in highly complex projects, scoping cross‑functional problems to implement solutions, leveraging knowledge across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, maintenance, or plant engineering.
Prioritize projects using facilities best practices, maximizing efficiency, improving planning, and maintaining safety standards. Solve complex problems, take new perspectives on existing solutions, and exercise judgment by analyzing multiple information sources.
Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, in written and verbal forms within a matrixed organization. Provide guidance across disciplines and organizational levels, maintain an environment of trust and innovation in stressful conditions.
Apply financial and managerial accounting, activity‑based costing; prepare and present leadership‑ready documents. Mentor Facilities Engineers I & II, ensuring quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance standards. Collaborate with leadership to cross‑train personnel, upskill, and develop team competency.
Primary Location: Liberty Campus. Schedule: Full time, Night shift (United States of America). Department: Building Maintenance Liberty. Role: Regular FTE, 40 hours per week. Expected starting pay range: $27.33–$34.85 per hour, annualized pay may vary based on FTE status.
