Qualifications

• Experience operating a wood molder, preferably Weinig Powermat.
• Strong knowledge of milling geometry, feed speeds, and wood behavior.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• 1-3 years of operating a molder.
• Experience in fencing, decking, or siding manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of Weinig grinding and tooling systems (Rondamat).
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the Weinig Powermat 700 molder to produce accurate wood profiles.
• Install, align, and adjust cutting heads, tooling, feed rollers, and fences per specs.
• Read production orders, profile drawings, and measurements.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects and surface quality.
• Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Make real-time machine adjustments to maintain quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Support continuous flow in fencing, decking, and siding production line.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream stations for throughput.
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately.
