Job summary

Sun Chemical seeks an Ink Inplant Tech I to support on-site ink production at customer locations in La Crosse, WI. You will perform basic color matching, small batch blending, and press-side technical support while maintaining production and QC records.

The role requires a high degree of interpersonal skill, the ability to lift heavy materials, and comfortable standing for long periods. Prior experience and MS Office proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; as well as dispensing and color match software.
• This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal skill.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following operating procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Produce and quality control inks to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Provide press-side technical support, mainly color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• Identify basic rework opportunities from batch tickets.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.

Job Title: Ink Inplant Tech I

Location: La Crosse, WI

Third Shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

OVERVIEW

Under minimal supervision, provide some basic color matching and small batch blending support on-site at the customer location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide some press side technical support, mainly color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• Identify a basic level of rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following standard procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years industry experience
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; as well as dispensing and color match software
