Job summary

Gates County Schools is seeking a CTE Teacher for Technology, Engineering & Design (TED) at Gates County High School in Gatesville, NC. The 10-month position focuses on delivering hands-on, project-based lessons using maker-space equipment and ensuring student success through structured instruction and assessment.

The role requires NC licensure in Technology (area 820) or licensure eligible, a bachelor’s degree, and experience with 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC, and vinyl cutters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or able to obtain licensure in NC in Technology (820).
• Knowledge of tech education tools and maker-space equipment preferred.
• Experience with 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC machines, and vinyl cutters beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver appropriate classroom learning experiences.
• Maintain records and follow procedures; manage equipment care.
• Monitor student progress and report results to leadership.
• Create and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons in TED.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with families as needed.
