The role requires Texas State Teacher’s Certification, a bachelor’s degree with TEXES/ExCET passing, and collaboration with colleagues to support diverse learners and extracurricular involvement.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Texas State teacher in the subject to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree with passing TEXES/ExCET in the target grade level or content area.
• Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum 18 credit hours) in core subjects.
• Bachelor's degree and demonstrated relevant work experience in the content area, shown by at least one year of employment with a professional letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Master and adapt Premier High School and Texas Works curricula to adult learners.
• Set clear expectations, establish routines, and promote self-discipline.
• Provide consistent praise, correction, and engagement with students.
• Learn and implement teaching curriculum programs.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues at local and district levels.
• Administer assessments and provide intervention or enrichment.
• Tutor students individually or in groups.
• Perform duties and special projects; maintain professionalism and follow handbooks.
