Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate required.
• Must meet ESSA federal and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to plan and provide instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Model appropriate and innovative use of technology for students
• Facilitate and monitor the integration of technology in the classroom
• Provide modifications for students with special needs, including ELL and special education students
• Select, develop, modify and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives and address diverse learners
• Establish routines and implement behavior management procedures
• Participate in administration of local and state testing as assigned
• Use assessments to monitor progress and inform instructional planning and program evaluation
• Communicate high learning expectations and learning targets tied to real-world experiences
• Use strategies to enhance critical, creative and evaluative thinking
• Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials
• Foster responsible and respectful student conduct and cultural diversity
• Supervise/assist with extracurricular and co-curricular activities as assigned
• Support school improvement initiatives through active participation
• Pursue personal professional growth and maintain confidentiality as required
• Adhere to board policies and state/federal laws
• Report absences and plan for substitutes as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university

A valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate
