Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Education required.
• Master’s in TESOL, Linguistics or ESL Program Certification preferred.
• Five or more years of classroom experience.
• Working knowledge of WIDA ELD standards to differentiate instruction.
• Experience in inclusion or co-teaching environment.
• US citizenship and permission to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.
• Must hold official PA state teaching certification or be pursuing it.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ELL program including entrance and exit criteria and monitoring.
• Collaborate with school leaders, ELL Coordinators, and general education teachers across String Theory Schools.
• Coordinate and administer the WAPT and WIDA ACCESS tests.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal mandates for ELL students.
• Provide and teach language instruction to English Learners in an inclusive setting using diverse instructional strategies.
• Provide professional learning for colleagues focused on ELL needs.
• Differentiate instruction to meet developmental levels of scholars.
• Align instruction with Common Core Standards and String Theory School’s Curriculum.
