Roblox is seeking a Distinguished Engineer/Technical Director for Discovery to own the ML direction across search and recommendations at scale. You will lead ML infrastructure and work with modelers, data engineers, and product teams to push the boundaries of large-scale training and serving.

You bring 10+ years of experience, strong strategic and people leadership, and a user-centric approach. The role is based at Roblox’s San Mateo headquarters with equity and full-time benefits.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience delivering and improving large-scale search and recommendation systems.
• Experience building and deploying billion-parameter ML models into production.
• Ability to translate long-term product needs into iterative deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical direction and implementation for ML solutions powering search and recommendations.
• Set AI strategy and drive business outcomes across candidate generation, ranking, and value delivery.
• Lead design and evolution of training, serving, and evaluation infrastructure for traditional and Generative AI models.
• Collaborate with modelers, data and AI infra engineers, and product teams to push large-scale training/serving boundaries.
• Mentor engineers, shape engineering culture, and set the standard for building robust, scalable systems.
• Partner with Roblox teams to deliver community-first products and foster innovation.
