Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the technical deployment and optimization of Firco Continuity Cloud Native solutions for enterprise clients in regulated industries.

You will oversee solution design, deployment, security integration, and advanced troubleshooting across the full project lifecycle while collaborating closely with client teams and product support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical implementation experience in enterprise environments.
  • Proficient in Unix (Linux Redhat, AIX, Solaris) and Windows Server.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Knowledge of multi-node cluster setup, namespace management, and persistent storage config.
  • Familiarity with clock synchronization and port management for multi-instance deployments.
  • Strong SQL/Oracle/DB2/MS SQL Server knowledge.
  • Ability to run vendor scripts for schema upgrades and plugins.
  • Understanding of Kerberos authentication and encrypted credentials.
  • Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, and pub/sub architectures.
  • DAPR sidecar integration for distributed messaging.
  • Cloud-native deployment patterns and three-tier architectures.
  • CI/CD pipelines and Helm-based deployment.
  • Log management and distributed debugging expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of Firco Continuity Cloud Native solutions.
  • Configure Kubernetes clusters, storage, networking, and service mesh.
  • Integrate connections to RDBMS, IBM MQ, and web servers.
  • Implement and document high availability, security, and DR practices.
  • Manage environment variables and multi-component deployments.
  • Automate deployments using scripts, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create and maintain Oracle/SQL Server databases and schemas.
  • Configure secure authentication and database access controls.
  • Set up IBM MQ, Kafka, and other messaging systems for reliable transport.
  • Enable DAPR sidecar for pub/sub messaging and state management.
  • Secure endpoints with SSL/TLS, mTLS and OAuth2/SAML/LDAP auth.
  • Monitor health checks, logs, alerts, and performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot DAPR, JVM, containers, and distributed systems.
  • Provide client training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead the technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of LexisNexis® Firco™ Continuity solutions for enterprise clients in regulated industries. You will be responsible to assist clients during the full lifecycle of the deployments, from solution design to solution deployment, advanced troubleshooting, security, and compliance integration. This role requires a blend of hands‑on technical expertise, client‑facing consulting skills, and a deep understanding of financial crime compliance and cloud-native architectures.


Responsibilities

Deployment & Configuration

Lead the end-to-end deployment of Firco™ Continuity Cloud Native solutions, including infrastructure preparation, installation, configuration, and validation. Configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters, persistent storage, container registries, and networking (Ingress, Service Mesh, etc.). Integrate and secure connections to RDBMS, IBM MQ, and web servers as required by client architecture. Implement and document best practices for high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery. Manage environment variables and configuration files for complex, multi-component deployments. Automate deployment and upgrade processes using scripts, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines.


Database Management

Create, migrate, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases, including schema upgrades and plugin table management. Configure advanced database features such as connection pooling, isolation levels, and case‑insensitive search. Implement secure authentication (Kerberos, encrypted credentials) and manage database access for multiple components.


Messaging & Integration

Set up and configure IBM MQ, Kafka, and other messaging systems for reliable, secure communication between components. Integrate DAPR sidecar for pub/sub messaging, state management, and secret storage. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message delivery, event processing, and distributed transactions.


Security & Compliance

Implement and manage SSL/TLS, mTLS, and certificate‑based authentication for all endpoints. Configure and maintain OAuth2, SAML, and LDAP authentication for user and API access. Ensure compliance with industry standards and client‑specific regulatory requirements. Manage user provisioning, roles, and permissions using APIs and identity providers.


Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Set up and monitor health checks, logging, and alerting all components. Diagnose and resolve issues related to application performance, connectivity, and data integrity. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for DAPR, JVM, and containerized environments. Document and share best practices for issue resolution and system optimization.


Client Engagement & Support

Collaborate with client teams, project managers, and product support to ensure successful project delivery. Provide training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to client administrators and users. Stay current with evolving compliance, security, and financial messaging standards.


Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


Minimum 5 years of technical implementation experience, ideally in enterprise, banking, or financial services environments.


Operating Systems: Proficient in Unix (Linux Redhat, AIX, Solaris) and Windows Server environments.


Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), including multi-node cluster setup, namespace management, and persistent storage configuration.


Familiarity with clock synchronization and port management for multi-instance deployments.


Databases: Strong knowledge of RDBMS and SQL, including Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server.


Experience with database schema creation, migration, and advanced configuration (tablespaces, collation, isolation levels, connection pooling).


Ability to run and troubleshoot vendor-specific scripts for schema upgrades and plugin tables.


Understanding of database security, Kerberos authentication, and encrypted credentials.


Middleware and Messaging: Hands‑on experience with IBM MQ (queueing system), including secure configuration, channel management, and troubleshooting.


Familiarity with event brokers (Kafka, Azure CLI, GCP CLI), and pub/sub architectures, including DAPR sidecar integration for distributed messaging.


Web Servers: Configuration and administration of at least one of: WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat (including embedded Tomcat in Java applications).


Experience with SSL/TLS, mTLS, and certificate management for secure HTTP endpoints.


Architecture: Solid understanding of three-tier architectures, microservices, and cloud-native deployment patterns.


Experience with multi-instance deployments, load balancing, and stateless application design.


Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Helm, cloud CLI tools (Azure CLI, AWS CLI, GCP CLI), and CI/CD pipelines.


Familiarity with persistent volumes, storage classes, and object storage integration (S3, NFS).


Ability to automate deployments using scripts and manage environment variables for complex systems.


Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting skills across the stack (OS, network, application, database, containers).


Experience with log management, health checks, and advanced debugging in distributed environments.


Ability to resolve issues related to DAPR sidecar, port conflicts, and JVM configuration (e.g., headless mode for Linux/Unix).


Preferred Skills

Multinational & Multicultural Experience

Proven ability to work in multinational, multicultural teams and with global clients. Experience supporting deployments across different regulatory environments and time zones.


Compliance & Financial Crime

Affinity or experience with Compliance, CFT (Counter-Financing of Terrorism), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or KYC (Know Your Customer) processes and technologies. Understanding of financial industry standards and payment protocols (SWIFT, SEPA, ISO20022, etc.). Experience with financial messaging systems, including SWIFT and other banking formats, is a strong plus.


Cloud Security & Best Practices

Familiarity with secure secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault), TLS/mTLS, and role-based access control in Kubernetes. Experience with OAuth2, SAML, and LDAP authentication for enterprise applications. Knowledge of password encryption tools and secure configuration practices.


Documentation & Communication

Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) and user management automation.

Primary Location Base Pay Range

Home based-New York $86,700 - $144,400. If performed in Illinois, the base pay range is $82,800 - $137,800. If performed in Chicago, IL, the base pay range is $86,700 - $144,400. If performed in New York City, the base pay range is $94,700 - $157,500. If performed in Rochester, NY, the base pay range is $78,800 - $131,300. If performed in New Jersey, the base pay range is $93,016 - $148,584. U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.


This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
