Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools seeks a licensed or license-eligible 5-12 Technology teacher to deliver technology-computer-science instruction aligned with district curricula. You will develop engaging lesson plans, deliver individualized and group instruction, and maintain positive classroom environments.

Regular collaboration with staff and administration is expected, along with ongoing professional development to stay current with best teaching practices and district policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Minnesota 5-12 Technology teaching license or license eligibility.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction and use district-approved platforms.
• Strong communication with parents and the school community; collaborates with staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the District approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establish standards of pupil behavior to create an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth and prepare progress reports.
• Identify pupil needs and develop strategies for individual education plans.
• Communicate with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, and conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to support student learning.
• Maintain professional skills through meetings, coursework, and professional development.
• Participate in a professional learning community regularly.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
• Perform related duties as needed.
