Job summary

Impacting.Digital is seeking a Tech Compliance Manager to align technology solutions with regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal governance. Based in Portugal or Spain with remote-first flexibility, you will work with leadership, technical teams, and a virtual operations group to deliver compliant, secure digital outcomes for client projects.

You will develop and monitor controls, participate in audits, and help scale our governance practices across cloud platforms,

Qualifications

• 4+ years in technology compliance, information security, governance, or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, and AI governance.
• Experience with audits, compliance programs, or governance initiatives.
• Technical background in engineering or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Gather technical requirements for projects involving systems integration, automation, AI and digital platforms.
• Convert business needs into structured technical specifications, business cases and acceptance criteria.
• Define, implement, and monitor technology compliance frameworks, policies, and controls across projects and internal operations.
• Ensure ISO42001 in 2026.
• Support compliance initiatives related to GDPR, information security, and technology risk management.
• Work with leadership, technical teams, and a virtual operations team.

We are now looking for a Tech Compliance Manager, a strategic and detail-oriented professional capable of ensuring that technology solutions, processes, and operations align with regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal governance practices. If you enjoy combining technology, risk management, and compliance to build secure and scalable digital environments, this role is for you.

• Must be based in Portugal or Spain with remote-first flexibility.
• Must be able to work with a Freelance contract.
• You will work closely with leadership, technical teams, and a virtual operations team.
• You will participate in internal and client projects.
• You will contribute to strengthening governance frameworks and ensuring compliance across digital initiatives and client solutions.

Tech Analysis & Solution Design

- Gather technical requirements for projects involving systems integration, automation, AI and digital platforms.

- Convert business needs into structured technical specifications, business cases and acceptance criteria.

- Contribute to solution architecture discussions, ensuring that each proposal meets client expectations and technical feasibility.

Governance Risk & Compliance

- Define, implement, and monitor technology compliance frameworks, policies, and controls across projects and internal operations.

- Ensure the implementation of ISO42001 in 2026.

- Support compliance initiatives related to GDPR, information security, and technology risk management.

About you

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

• A technical academic background (Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or similar).
• At least 4 years of experience in technology compliance, information security, governance, risk, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, technology controls, and risk management principles.
• Experience with audits, compliance programs, or governance initiatives.
• Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, AI governance frameworks, or similar.
• Experience evaluating digital platforms, cloud environments, automation technologies, or AI solutions.
• The ability to communicate complex technical and compliance concepts clearly to different audiences.
• Experience working in consulting or cross-functional environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
• Fluency in at least two of the following languages: Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
