Job summary

Medica is seeking a Category Lead – Technology to drive category performance and vendor outcomes across Medica Tech, including Data Management, IT, Information Security, and Cloud technologies.

The role partners with senior leaders to shape category strategies, consolidate vendors, and apply pricing models for value without adding process burden. Office-based with onsite work; expected collaboration across departments and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 8+ years of vendor management, sourcing, or procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management and sourcing principles.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence decisions and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with internal and vendor executives.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve category strategies aligned to objectives, targets, and risk frameworks.
• Lead RFx strategies (RFI/RFP/RFQ) tied to category plans.
• Develop reporting on savings, value realization, and service performance.
• Serve as the primary strategic interface between business stakeholders and vendor ecosystem.
• Maintain vendor scorecards, SLAs, and performance dashboards; drive QBRs and remediation plans.
• Ensure governance with Risk, Compliance, Legal in contracting and audits.
