Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing echocardiograms preferred.

Job description

The Cardiac Sonographer will perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols to limit exposure to infectious diseases.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year allied health education program that is patient care related preferred.
• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Two years of experience in performing echocardiograms preferred.
