Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Whitsett, NC. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, maintaining security procedures, and preparing incident reports. A high school diploma is required, with background checks and drug screening as standard prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities using required systems and documentation methods.
