WithumSmith+Brown in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Tech Audit Manager to lead audit, review or compilation engagements and deliver world-class client service. This role offers growth within a collaborative, high-impact audit team and the potential path to Partnership.

You will manage engagement teams, supervise staff, coordinate budgets and collaborate with partners to resolve complex issues while maintaining a client-first approach and strong professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license.
• Experience auditing commercial clients, including SEC registrants.
• Minimum 5 years in public accounting and leading multiple engagements.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills and client service.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement team staff on planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the engagement from staffing, planning, risk, fieldwork and reporting.
• Provide supervision and counsel to staff, seniors, and supervisors and coordinate with the partner.
• Collaborate with seniors or supervisors and partners on issue resolution for regulatory and accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and improve efficiency.
• Conduct discussions with team members on evaluations and development.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service to clientsOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusionProviding supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partnerCollaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagementManaging multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlinesCreating and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the auditConducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordinglyServing in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA licenseQualified candidates must possess experience auditing commercial clients, including SEC registrants, and have a strong understanding of PCAOB auditing standards and related regulatory requirements.At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staffExcellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAPExceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing projectsStrong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s managementExcellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem solving skillsAbility to travel as needed based on client assignmentsThe compensation for this position ranges from $135,000-$210,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
