RadNet in Rochester, NY is seeking a Technologist Assistant to greet patients, register them, collect copays, and verify information. You will assist technologists and help ensure smooth scheduling and timely care in a radiology environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1 year of medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and a BLS certification. Training includes patient privacy, safety, and professional conduct across a busy clinic.

• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• BLS certification required or in progress.

Responsabilidades

• Greet, register patients and collect copays; verify patient information and notify arrival.
• Obtain insurance/authorizations and collect signatures; ensure documentation is complete.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel patient appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Ensure equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before exams.
• Assist radiology technologists with patients.
• Safeguard patient information and property; protect PHI compliance.
• Safeguard medications on site per company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect patient boundaries.
• Interact empathetically with patients and families in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will:

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information. Assist team members by notifying patient arrival. Communicate delays in appointments in a timely fashion and offers rescheduling for timely and effective care of patients;


• Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information, collects signatures and ensures accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.


• Schedules, reschedules or cancels new or current patients, confirms appointments and notifies staff of changes when necessary.


• Ensure that equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.


• Assist technologists with patients


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• High School Diploma


• 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills


• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred.


• BLS certification

Pay Range: $16.50-$21.50
