Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock is seeking a Teamleader Central Sterile for the Sterile Processing Department. The role supervises department personnel, ensures processing meets regulatory standards, and coordinates instrument handling to support patient cases.

The position is evening shift, Mon-Fri 2:30pm–11:00pm, with certification in Sterile Processing to be obtained within 6 months. Industry-standard duties include safety and infection prevention responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; basic computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and EPIC; 2 years healthcare exp.
• Sterile processing certification required within 6 months.
• Good supervision and leadership abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Department: Sterile Processing Department

Shift: Evening

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Summary:
Supervises department personnel ensuring all employee activities are performed safely, accurately and quantitative that meets the needs of the customer. Ensures that all regulatory requirements are met regarding cleaning, processing, and storage of instruments. Manages employees productivity levels ensure instrumentation is available for all cases. Participates in and engages staff in performance improvement, risk management and infection prevention.

Other information:High school diploma, computer competencies, i.e. Microsoft office including Excel, EPIC, PowerPoint. 2 years of healthcare related experience required. Management experience preferred, 12 hours of college preferred. Certification in Sterile Processing must be obtained within 6 months. This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi-weekly.
