Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Teamcenter Solutions Architect to support a leading technology and engineering organization delivering advanced digital transformation, software, and industrial solutions to U.S. government and defense customers. This is a REMOTE position that requires roughly 25% travel*
The Solutions Architect will translate the customer's vision for an automated manufacturing cell supporting operations in remote locations into a defined technical solution, mapping requirements, architecture, scope, and implementation plans to enable infrastructure teams to successfully deploy the environment.
Responsibilities of the Teamcenter Solutions Architect:
- Lead the architecture, design, and long-term roadmap of Teamcenter solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, integration, and alignment with customer objectives.
- Develop solution design, configuration, deployment, configuration management, and best-practice documentation to support Teamcenter implementations and releases.
- Guide advanced Teamcenter configuration and customization, including BMIDE, workflows, handlers, SOA, processes, and data models while enforcing technical standards and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, identify architectural and implementation risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex Teamcenter environments.
- Make technical decisions regarding Teamcenter configurations, tools, technology stacks, upgrades, integrations, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements, translate needs into solutions, and communicate project progress, value, and adoption expectations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project resources while coordinating with customers, project managers, sales teams, partners, and third-party service providers.
Qualifications for the Teamcenter Solutions Architect:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered (10+ years of PLM experience).
- 5+ years implementing and supporting Teamcenter solutions, including workflows, handlers, and SOA.
- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter configuration, including BMIDE and application-based functionality, advanced processes, and movement/integration between systems.
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience, with the ability to gather requirements, advise stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts to technical, business, and government audiences.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and lifecycle methodologies, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel roughly 25%
- Desired:
- 5–8 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience supporting product design and development processes.
- Experience with Teamcenter Multisite and Dispatcher.
- Experience supporting a DoD organization or government contractor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Compensation for the Teamcenter Solutions Architect:
- Salary Range: $160,000 - $210,000 *depending on experience*
