The Financial Advisor is responsible for sourcing and educating leads to the value of an advisory relationship and once obtaining leads to clients, help them achieve and exceed their financial goals. The Financial Advisor works within the team environment to serve clients in a sincere, ethical, and progressive way so that long term, generational relationships are built. The position will require extensive research and analysis of client data, various planning software and various other tools to provide a clear and concise financial plan. Extensive knowledge in all areas of planning is required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify, attract, and onboard high-net-worth families and business owners who are an ideal fit for the firm''s concierge wealth management services.
- Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, sustained self-motivation, resilience, and a willingness to face rejection in pursuit of growth opportunities.
- Contribute directly to the growth of the firm by attracting and onboarding new client relationships that result in meaningful increases in assets under management and firm revenue.
- Maintain a proactive business development pipeline through disciplined relationship management and ongoing outreach efforts.
- Spend the majority of your time meeting with current and prospective clients to understand their goals, values, priorities, and financial challenges.
- Build trusted relationships with prospective clients through consistent, timely, and persistent follow-up.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with centers of influence and adjacent professional partners to facilitate introductions for financial planning and wealth management services.
- Delivering an exceptional client experience that deepens relationships, creates client advocates, and generates introductions to other qualified families and business owners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by helping clients make informed decisions regarding their wealth and long-term objectives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor''s Degree
- 2-5 years hands on sales experience in professional environment
- Preferred industry experience as a Financial Planner or Advisor
- Series 65 (Series 7/66) preferred or ability to be licensed in 30 days
- Prefer professional industry designations such as CFA, CPA, or CFP
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients
- Experience with low volume relationship based sales process
Essential Mental Functions
- Experience in related technology, software planning tools and presentation (Fidelity, Schwab, Black Diamond, Wealthscape preferred).
- Extensive analytical and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of investment concepts, practices, products, financial markets and procedures used in the securities industry.
- Knowledge of industry regulations provided by SEC, FINRA, and related broker/dealer
- General office practices, procedures, and methods
- MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point proficiency
- Proven ability to develop professionally
- Client-driven customer service
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting or remote equivalent
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to effectively operate computer equipment
- Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules
- Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment
- Ability to communicate via telephone / computer and work in virtual teams
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time
