Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Team Physician.

We invite you to explore a Delaware Hospice career with Delaware Hospice as one of our Team Physicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Team Physician – IPU/Homecare provides medical leadership and consultation to the interdisciplinary teams and other team physicians for the provision of all hospice services within the inpatient unit and serves as backup medical provider support for the homecare teams. Participates in developing and delivering staff education; participates in education opportunities for other physicians and the community and needed. Functions within established policies and procedures to assure compliance with federal and state hospice regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Delaware licensed doctor of medicine or osteopathy. Experience in the treatment of end of life illness, symptom management and pain management as well as provision of emotional support to patients with life-threatening diseases and to their families. Committed to the hospice approach to care, including the 7-day a week, 24 hours per day coverage of patients and families in the program. Willing to provide both homecare and inpatient services to meet the needs of the patients and their families. Able to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team and with others related to the hospice program. Certified by the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Physicians—preferred.
