The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our products provide a high level of quality that meets customer expectations. This position will be responsible for assessment, design, implementation, and execution of quality programs and processes that support the continuous improvement of the business and reduction of quality incidents and customer complaints. The candidate must be an effective leader with a strong aptitude for data analysis, technical understanding, and the ability to work independently, with a good understanding of quality systems and processes.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Supervise staff to produce manufactured products and organize workflow.
  • Assist management in assessing individual and team performance and development.
  • Develop team maturity through coaching, counseling, and motivation, ensuring effective communication.
  • Prepare shift schedules, record attendance, and manage personnel issues related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Establish and enforce production standards to maintain quality service.
  • Monitor and upgrade processes, set variables, observe control points, and foster cooperation between departments.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES cont.
  • Identify training gaps and utilize Single Point Lessons to close them.
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and evaluate performance, and enforce systems and policies.
  • Schedule and assign personnel to meet production plans, resolve problems, and report results.
  • Analyze data to address personnel issues and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure equipment operation and evaluate new techniques.
  • Compile and analyze production data, and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage run rates, uptime, and yield, leveraging platforms like Smart Factory and PowerBI, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, benchmarking, and participation in professional societies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or technical schooling preferred.
  • At least 4 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in packaging solutions.
  • Solid ERP system knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of statistical fundamentals.
  • Strong manufacturing process or technical background.
  • Lean Six Sigma training and certification (Green or Black belt) preferred.
  • Quality training or certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to diverse groups.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
