REPORTS TO: Registered Dietitian
FLSA: Hourly, Non-exempt

Associate Summary

Associates will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and vision of Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal workings of the Club). This experience aims to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.

What Sets You Apart

Orlando City SC seeks hardworking, positive, and passionate individuals who wish to gain practical experience in sports nutrition and performance. The Performance Nutrition Associate will work closely with the Team Performance Dietitian supporting MLS, MLS NEXT PRO, and MLS NEXT. You will learn about daily nutrition duties and be an integral part of the nutrition program, including fueling and hydrating players on training and game days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in managing, stocking food, supplies, and supplements for the meal room, locker room, and game day.
  2. Learn and assist with breakfast and lunch meal preparation, serving, and cleanup.
  3. Assist with analyzing dietary habits, body composition, blood work, and athlete supplementation.
  4. Monitor meals for nutrition, quality control, and menu adherence.
  5. Maintain equipment such as warming units, blenders, refrigerators, recovery fuel stations, and microwaves.
  6. Assist with pre- and post-training fueling and supplementation.
  7. Support hydration needs as directed by the Team Performance Dietitian or Performance Staff.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, food science, sports nutrition, or related fields.
  • CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within the first month).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish/Portuguese are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • ISAK Level 1 certification preferred.
  • High professionalism and confidentiality, especially within a pro-team environment.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and accountability.
  • Positive, outgoing, and engaging personality.
  • Strong understanding and passion for soccer is preferred.
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

This role is for the 2025 MLS Season.

Founded in 2013, Orlando City SC is an MLS franchise with a rich history of success, including multiple postseason appearances, championships, and participation in international competitions.

The Orlando Pride, established in 2015, is a professional women’s soccer team that has achieved significant milestones, including winning the 2024 NWSL Championship.

Both teams play at Inter&Co Stadium in downtown Orlando. The club is owned by the Wilf Family, owners of the Minnesota Vikings.
