SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Team Member Relations Business Partner serves as the primary onsite Human Resources partner for assigned CNE operations and works closely with leaders and Team Members to provide Human Resources consultation and guidance. This position performs the primary assessment of Team Member relations matters, conducts workplace investigations, provides guidance and recommendations regarding corrective action and performance management, interprets and applies CNE policies and Human Resources practices, and exercises professional judgment in addressing workplace matters while supporting effective workforce administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs the primary assessment of Team Member relations matters, evaluates relevant circumstances, gathers necessary information, and determines appropriate next steps in consultation with Human Resources leadership as needed.
- Conducts timely and objective workplace investigations, including assessing the nature and scope of the concern, conducting interviews, reviewing relevant information and documentation, evaluating findings, and providing findings and recommendations to Human Resources leadership and management as appropriate.
- Advises managers and supervisors regarding Team Member relations, performance management, attendance, conduct, corrective action, workplace conflict, and other Human Resources matters.
- Reviews and evaluates proposed corrective actions for consistency with CNE policies, practices, and the circumstances of each matter and provides guidance and recommendations to management.
- Receives, assesses, and responds to Team Member concerns, complaints, and workplace issues and coordinates appropriate Human Resources follow-up.
- Provides coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors regarding performance management, documentation, conflict resolution, Team Member communication, and effective management practices.
- Partners with Human Resources leadership and operational management regarding workforce matters that may impact Team Member relations, policy administration, compliance, or business operations.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and records related to workplace investigations, Team Member relations matters, corrective actions, recommendations, and other Human Resources activities.
- Maintains a visible and accessible onsite Human Resources presence and develops effective working relationships with Team Members and leaders.
- Supports onsite interviews and selection activities in coordination with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers as needed and available.
- Provides onsite HRIS support to Team Members and leaders and assists with resolving or escalating HRIS-related matters.
- Assists with payroll and workforce administration matters requiring onsite Human Resources support and coordinates with appropriate Human Resources staff to resolve discrepancies or concerns.
- Works collaboratively with Enterprise HR Shared Services to support consistent Human Resources practices and processes throughout CNE.
- Maintains the confidentiality and security of Team Member, investigation, personnel, medical, and other sensitive Human Resources information.
- Travels to other CNE properties as needed to provide Human Resources support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including experience in workplace investigations, corrective action, performance management, policy administration, or related Human Resources functions.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, evaluating information and documentation, developing findings, and providing recommendations regarding appropriate action.
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably Paycom or a comparable system, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively address sensitive and complex workplace matters.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound professional judgment, and appropriately elevate significant or high-risk Human Resources matters.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Comanche Nation Entertainment insurance carrier.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and permits required by CNE, including a Comanche Nation Gaming Commission (CNGC) Gaming License, as a condition of continued employment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or a comparable credential.
- Experience in the gaming, hospitality, resort, or Tribal enterprise industry.
- Experience using Paycom or a comparable Human Resources Information System.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Team Member Relations Business Partner regularly communicates and exchanges information with Team Members, leaders, coworkers, and other individuals and operates a computer and other office equipment. Work is performed in an onsite Human Resources office and throughout assigned operational areas and may require travel to other CNE properties. The work environment may include flashing lights, varying noise levels, smoke-filled environments, and constant surveillance. The Team Member Relations Business Partner may be exposed to contentious or emotionally charged situations while addressing Team Member concerns, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and other Team Member relations matters and must be able to maintain professionalism and composure.
The position must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
