Cimtech is seeking a detail-oriented, persistent, and self-motivated professional focused on production quality.

Schedule: 10am - 10pm, Monday - Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week)

Job Overview: This position requires the use of precision measuring instruments. Responsibilities include maintaining and recording instrument calibration and intervals. Training will be provided on a new Vision Measuring Machine (VMM) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). The technician will create and maintain quality documentation per customer or internal specifications and should be familiar with modern quality practices such as ASME and ISO standards. Close communication with shop supervisors, quality engineers, and operators is essential for troubleshooting production quality issues.

Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED; a 2- or 4-year technical degree is a plus
  • Ability to interpret vernier scales
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges
  • Knowledge of or experience with PPAP process, DFMEA/PFMEA preferred
  • Experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Keyence IM-8000 or XM-5000 series inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret machine and fabrication drawings
  • Knowledge of dimensional standards like ASME Y14.5 GD&T or ISO GPS
  • Ability to train on optical comparators
  • Understanding of welding symbols; knowledge of ASME or Section IX weld codes is a plus
  • Comfortable working near large CNC machines
