Overall Job Summary: This position is responsible for interacting with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives, and performing assigned tasks, while providing legendary customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%): As a Team Member, it is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented. You must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements:

1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
2. Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
3. Support selling initiatives (TEAM): Thank the Customer, Engage with the customer and/or pet, Advise on products or services, Make it Memorable.
4. Perform a variety of duties including operating cash register, recovery of merchandise, participating in freight process, completing merchandising procedures, assembling merchandise, performing janitorial duties, executing price changes, assisting customers with loading, ensuring safety and care of live animals, and completing documentation.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: No experience required. Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Ability to read, write, and count accurately is necessary.

Preferred Skills: Pet/live animal knowledge, strong communication and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution.

Working Conditions: Indoor environment with moderate noise, hard surfaces, shifts generally no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements: Non-sedentary role requiring stamina and ability to move throughout the store, lift/move merchandise up to 50 pounds, and operate equipment safely.
