This position is for the LADSON ROAD location, located at 3660 Ladson Road, Ladson SC.

Job Description

The Team Member represents Chick-fil-A by providing 2nd Mile Service to each of our Guests within the restaurant. Willingness, Ability, and Availability are the foundation for success in this role. This individual helps differentiate Chick-fil-A from others in the industry by actively contributing to a Clean & Safe Environment, Great Food, Fast & Accurate Service, and Genuine Hospitality to support Chick-fil-A’s Shared Vision of being the world's most caring company.

Job Responsibilities
Extending Genuine Hospitality (Front of the House / Customer Service position)
  • Creating moments of personalized care for Guests
  • Treating all Guests with honor, dignity and respect
  • Displaying the Core 4
  • Applying the HEARD Model when recovering Guests
  • Delivering Great Food by:
    • Separating raw and ready-to-eat foods
    • Keeping hot foods hot and cold foods cold
    • Using date and label stickers consistently
    • Following the recipes per Pathway procedures
    • Honoring all hold times
    • Using LEAN production systems
  • Providing Fast & Accurate Service by:
    • Working with a sense of urgency
    • Confirming orders
    • Double checking bags
    • Providing all needed and requested items
    • Maintaining two-way communication
Kitchen / Back of the House position
  • Serve in the Kitchen by making real food by hand
  • Filet, grill, bread, and assemble our fresh chicken products
  • Wash, chop, bake, and assemble side items
  • Prepare food safely and efficiently
  • Perform quality, time, and temperature checks
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work area, wash dishes
  • Stock and rotate food inventory to prepare for the next shift
  • Report to Team Leader and follow instructions
  • Contribute to our fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Provide excellent quality food service to our guests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Provide excellent customer service by looking guests in the eye, smiling, and engaging in encouraging conversations
  • Experience in the kitchen or customer service preferred
  • Willing and able to work in a physically demanding role (including the ability to lift up to 50lbs., work on feet for several hours, etc.)
  • Be 16 years of age or older
Maintaining a Clean & Safe Environment (for all Team Member positions)
  • Abiding by the Restaurant Health Policy
  • Following Appearance and Apparel Standards
  • Washing hands frequently and changing gloves between tasks
  • Removing trash and clutter
  • Finding and fixing safety hazards
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting
Skills & Requirements

Full-Time Team Members must meet the following requirements:

  • Positive attitude
  • Exhibit the Core 4 with the Guest and team
  • Teamwork
  • Average at least 35 hours per week over a three-month period
  • Available to work 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, or 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM at least 5 days per week, including Friday and Saturday
  • Be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to use technology with ease and without help
Physical Abilities
  • Be able to walk over seven hours a day while carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, reach, crouch and twist throughout the day
  • Work without the need for breaks of any kind for at least 2 hours at a time
  • Tolerate high levels of heat exposure for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Move with a high sense of urgency
  • Climbing 4+ flights of stairs
  • Balance while carrying items
  • Quick reflexes and the ability to adapt to changing situations
