Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Residential Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and directing operations of multiple group homes. This includes hiring, training, and scheduling staff, implementing program plans, and coordinating appointments and activities for the individuals we support. This position requires open availability as there are a mix of Day and Evenings hours.



  • Ensure proper services are provided to address the wants and needs of people with developmental disabilities as written in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).

  • Ensure a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere in the day center for the people we support.

  • Ensure each individuals' rights are protected, and they are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Demonstrate and train team members to interact with the people we support in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner.

  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner , including but not limited to individual plan data, behavior plan data, community integration logs, assessments, individual funds requests, communication book, mileage logs, maintenance requests forms, and supply acquisition forms.

  • Safeguard individual's funds, assisting individuals with purchases.

  • Effectively hire, train, coach, evaluate and mentor team members.

  • Ensure assigned team members record their time accurately and approve timecards in a timely manner.

  • Facilitate the integration of individuals into the community by accompanying them to recreational and social activities.

  • Intervene when aggressive and/or inappropriate behavior occurs to implement behavior plans and strategies.

  • Provide on-call support to staff during emergencies and locate staff to fill shifts when necessary.

  • Ensure assigned facilities and vehicles are clean and compliant with HOH and state requirements.

  • Complete and remain current on all required trainings.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience


  • At least two years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred

  • One year supervisory/leader experience preferred

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to pass registry and background checks
