Job summary

Job description

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to join us at Slick City Action Park! As part of our crew, you’ll help keep the park running smoothly, welcome guests with energy, and create safe, unforgettable experiences. If you’re outgoing, love working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities

Guest Greeting & Service Welcome guests with a friendly energetic attitude; provide friendly service, and guide them through menu options (cafe). Be approachable, friendly, and attentive while maintaining authority. Answer guest questions and assist when needed.

Sales & Upselling Communicate menu details clearly, answer guest questions, and promote add-ons, combos, or specials to enhance the guest experience.

Order Processing & Payment Accurately take orders, operate the POS system, handle payments, and issue pagers or receipts as needed.

Food Preparation & Safety Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Guest Orders & Delivery Ensure timely and accurate delivery of prepared items to guests; call orders or manage the pager system efficiently.

Stocking & Cleanliness Restock supplies and inventory as needed. Maintain a clean, organized café area, including counters, equipment, and guest seating.

Guest Safety & Rule Enforcement Actively monitor slides, courts, and attractions to ensure all guests are safe and following park rules.

Incident Response & Reporting Respond quickly and calmly to unsafe behavior or injuries. Follow proper reporting and first -response procedures.

Risk Readiness Inspect assigned attractions each shift, report hazards, and keep areas clean and organized for guest use.

Team Support Communicate with fellow monitors and leads during busy times or incidents to keep operations smooth.

Training & Compliance Participate in ongoing safety training and follow all company and regulatory safety standards.

Ticketing, Waivers & Sales Ensure waivers are completed before entry. Sell park passes, memberships, and other products at the register. Accurately process payments and issue wristbands and City Socks.

POS Transactions Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

Guest Assistance & Communication Answer guest questions, provide basic directions throughout the park, and explain park rules and safety guidelines.

Demonstrations & Instructions Give clear demonstrations on how to slide and provide simple instructions to ensure guests have a safe and fun experience.

Upselling & Guest Experience Promote memberships, special offers, and park events to enhance guest value and maximize revenue while ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college a plus).
  • Prior experience in a guest-facing role (entertainment, hospitality, retail, or recreation) preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to enforce rules while staying friendly and professional.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to stay alert in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable handling basic transactions and using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.

Physical Requirements (if applicable)
  • Ability to stand and remain active on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 6–8 hours per shift).
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, and stretch while supervising attractions and assisting guests.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. (e.g., restocking supplies, moving equipment, assisting with party/event setups).
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations, including moving rapidly across attractions.
  • Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced environment with flashing lights and high guest activity.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members in a noisy environment.
Work Schedule

Team members may be scheduled for a variety of shifts, including morning, day, evening, or night shifts. Shifts are typically up to 8 hours, and flexibility is required to meet the needs of the park.
