Overview

The Team Member prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks, prioritizes exceptional customer service, and maintains cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar. Responsibilities include accurate order processing, friendly interactions with customers, and proactive communication regarding inventory needs. They assist with kitchen and bar prep tasks while ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines for a hygienic work environment.

Hourly Pay

• 12.25/hr + Tips ($6/hr Average)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, pour-over & drip coffee, and flash brew
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment; execute daily and weekly cleaning tasks, including a weekly deep clean of the cafe
• Accurately process orders and handle transactions with situational awareness
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and making recommendations as needed
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and communicate needs for orders
• Prepare in-house bar & kitchen items, prepping as needed
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, completing daily and weekly checklists

Requirements

• Previous experience in food & beverage or in a customer service role is preferred, but not required
• Friendly, caring, and a heart to serve
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn and maintain operational and situational awareness on shift
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of coffee brewing techniques and terminology
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
