Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Orlando is hiring a Team Member to welcome guests with a warm greeting, learn the menu, take accurate orders, and handle cash responsibly. You’ll deliver prepared orders, address guest concerns promptly, and keep your station clean and stocked for service.

You’ll also assist back-of-house staff in crafting menu items to McAlister’s standards. Flexible shifts, teamwork, and excellent guest service are central to this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in casual restaurant industry.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings, holidays, weekends.

As a Team Member at McAlister’s Deli, you’ll welcome guests with a friendly greeting, engage in genuine conversation, and thank them as they leave. You’ll learn the menu, take accurate orders, and manage cash responsibly at your assigned drawer. Your role includes delivering properly prepared orders, addressing guest concerns promptly, and keeping your station stocked, clean, and ready for service. If working in the back of house, you’ll craft menu items to McAlister’s recipes and standards. Team awareness is key—you’ll stay alert to when you or a teammate may need support and step in to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS) is required.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and maintaining a well-groomed appearance – uniform standards.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
