Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Florida is seeking Team Members to join our casual dining team. You will welcome guests, learn the menu, take accurate orders, and manage cash with care while keeping your station clean and ready for service.

The role emphasizes friendly hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Prior casual restaurant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of casual restaurant experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS) is required.
• ServSafe license preferred or able to obtain per state mandates.
• Strong teamwork and grooming standards; flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and engage in conversation.
• Take accurate orders and manage cash responsibly at your drawer.
• Deliver properly prepared orders and address guest concerns promptly.
• Keep station stocked, clean, and ready for service; assist in back-of-house as needed.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Team Member at McAlister’s Deli, you\'ll welcome guests with a friendly greeting, engage in genuine conversation, and thank them as they leave. You\'ll learn the menu, take accurate orders, and manage cash responsibly at your assigned drawer. Your role includes delivering properly prepared orders, addressing guest concerns promptly, and keeping your station stocked, clean, and ready for service. If working in the back of house, you\'ll craft menu items to McAlister\’s recipes and standards. Team awareness is key—you\’ll stay alert to when you or a teammate may need support and step in to keep operations running smoothly.

What You\’ll Bring (Requirements):

• A minimum of 1 year\’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS) is required.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and maintaining a well-groomed appearance – uniform standards.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
